Terms and Conditions – Motorhome/Campervan Owners
1) Registering as a Motorhome/Campervan Owner and Requirements of a Motorhome/Campervan Owner
When registering as a Motorhome/Campervan Owner, these terms and conditions apply:
1.1. The Owner owns 100% of the motorhome(s) they wish to list for hire on 4cornerscamping.com, or they are authorised to act as if they were the Owner, by the Owner of the motorhome. In the event that a legal entity (legal entity refers to a company) owns the motorhome, you are authorised by this legal entity to perform all actual and legal acts relating to the motorhome.
1.2 An Owner is required to register the motorhome(s) they intend to hire on their account. The motorhome needs to meet, and continue to meet, the following conditions. By putting a motorhome up for hire, the Owner guarantees that the motorhome(s):
1.2.1 Meets all basic safety criteria;
1.2.2 Has been regularly maintained as per advice of the manufacturer;
1.2.3 Has been (Periodically) tested according to national law of the country of registration, and you are in possession of the document that proves the motorhome is certified and tested for the rental period;
1.2.4 Has a live insurance policy that covers the Vehicle for Self-drive hire;
1.2.5 All taxes (for example road tax) have been paid and are up-to-date for the Vehicle;
1.2.6 The Vehicle is insured for breakdown (and replacement vehicle unless this is clearly stated in the advertisement);
1.2.7 Is fitted with a licence plate which is valid in the country of registration;
1.2.8 Contains all necessary fluids (motor oil, brake-fluid, coolant, etc.);
1.2.9 Contains all the amenities described on the listing, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon with the Hiring Party.
1.3 In the event the motorhome does not meet the requirements above (anymore), the Owner is obliged to pause the Vehicle on their account and Owner must inform 4cornerscamping.com as soon as possible so that they can arrange the booking of a different Vehicle (if possible), and/or re-imburse the Hirer.
1.4 4cornerscamping.com may refuse the registration of an Owner, or registration of a motorhome, for any reason.
1.5 The Advertiser is fully liable for all damage and costs resulting from the fact that their Vehicle falls short of complying with the above requirements. This means, among other things (but not exclusively) that if (premature) termination of the Rental Agreement is due to wear and tear and / or poor maintenance of the Vehicle, the Advertiser must reimburse the Traveller for any lost rental days and any additional costs that this entails.
1.6 Vehicle Owners are responsible for ensuring that their listing shows correct information about their Vehicle and conditions for hire, for example but not limited to:
- i) Licence type required to drive vehicle;
- ii) Minimum and maximum age requirements for hire;
iii) Insurance conditions.
1.7 It is the responsibility of the Owner of the vehicle to find out how to declare the payments received from hires through 4cornerscamping.com and pay the relevant taxes (for example VAT).
1.8 A negative statement about 4cornerscamping.com or its employees must first be reported to 4cornerscamping.com management. These may not be made publicly, without 4cornerscamping.com having at least 10 days to respond to the statement, otherwise 4cornerscamping.com is directly entitled to a compensation of £500 and £50 per day that the negative statement continues.
1.9 If the Vehicle is equipped with a GPS tracker or Dashcam for the safety of the Owner and the Hirer, the Owner may not use this device to infringe on the privacy of the Hirer.
1.10 The calendars on 4cornerscamping.com showing when Vehicles are available for hire must be kept updated by Owners. If a Hirer confirms a booking when the Vehicle isn’t available due to a calendar inaccuracy, 4cornerscamping.com reserves the right to apply standard cancellation fees (£50 per cancelled night of hire) to the Vehicle Owner.
1.11 In the event that a Hirer confirms a booking in error due to the listing not displaying correct information, 4cornerscamping.com reserves the right to apply standard cancellation fees (£50 per cancelled night of hire) to the Vehicle Owner.
1.12 When an Owner allows their vehicle to go abroad, they must provide a VE103R (Vehicle on Hire certificate). This may include 4cornerscamping.com’s sourcing provision (see 2.2).
1.13 If an Owner’s Vehicle becomes unavailable for a confirmed hire (for example due to previous hire damage/accident or mechanical fault), the Owner must inform 4cornerscamping.com as soon as possible so that they can arrange the booking of a different Vehicle (if possible), and/or re-imburse the Hirer.
1.14 If the Owner’s Vehicle breaks down or is involved in an accident whilst on hire, it is the Owner’s responsibility to resolve this directly with the Hirer.
2) Services Provided by 4cornerscamping.com to Motorhome/Campervan Owners
In addition to providing a platform for Motorhome/Campervan Owners to advertise the hire of their Vehicle(s), 4cornerscamping also provides the following services (with the specified terms and conditions).
2.1 Sourcing Documents for Self-Drive Hire Insurance
4cornercamping.com will source the documents required for the Owner’s self-drive hire insurance from the Hirer and email the sourced documents to the Owner. It is important for the Owner to understand that the Owner is responsible for the checking of the documents against their insurance requirements. 4cornerscamping.com will endeavour to source the correct documents from Hirers, but does not guarantee this or provide final checking of documents against the Owner’s insurance policy.
The following terms and conditions apply to the sourcing:
2.1.1 The Owner informs 4cornercamping.com of the self-drive hire insurance documentation requirements if they are different from below:
- a) Where hirer (and drivers) has/have a UK driving licence:
- i) photograph/scan of both front and back of hirer’s (and all drivers of the hire) valid (including being in date and showing at least 2 years of driving experience) driving licence(s);
- ii) photograph/scan of 2 proofs of address from separate sources, where the address on the proof matches the address on the driving licence. These proofs have to come from the below list, and have to be clearly dated within 90 days of the commencement of the hire period (except Council Tax statement which be dated within 12months of the commencement of the hire period). The proofs should clearly show the same name and address as on the driving licence.

iii) photograph/scan of the DVLA licence check of the hirer (and drivers). Not this can not be done for drivers from Northern Ireland. If the DVLA licence check shows any points or penalties, 4cornerscamping.com may inform the Owner, so that the Owner can refer to their insurer.
- b) Where hirer (and drivers) has/have an EU, AU, NZ, USA, CAN or SA driving licence:
- ii) & iii) from a) above will be sourced, along with a photograph/scan of the hirer’s (and driver’s) passport.
- c) If the hirer (and drivers) has/have a driving licence which is not from UK, EU, AU, NZ, USA, CAN or SA, then 4cornerscamping.com will inform owners and will not collect any of the documentation.
2.1.2 4cornerscamping.com will NOT source any other information from the Hirer (and Drivers) in addition to that stated in 2.1.1. Examples of additional sourcing which is NOT provided by 4cornerscamping.com could include (but not limited to):
- i) Recent accidents or insurance claims involving the hirer / driver(s)
- ii) Medical history of the hirer / driver(s)
iii) Facilitate the direct financial transaction between Owner and Hirer / main driver which is usually required by insurers.
- iv) Rental agreement required by insurers.
- v) Make any referrals direct to Owner’s insurers (including whether travel is permitted outside UK in the Vehicle).
2.2 Sourcing VE103R if Required for a Hire.
4cornerscamping.com will source and pay for (included in their commission) the VE103R if the Hirer has stated (and the Owner has agreed) that they are travelling outside the UK.
The conditions for this are:
2.2.1 The Owner sending 4cornerscamping.com a photograph/scan of page 1 and 2 of the Vehicle’s V5C log book.
2.2.2 The Owner being copied in on a VE103R request email to the RAC (or any other VE103R provider).
2.2.3 4cornerscamping.com is informed of a VE103R requirement 4 or more working days before a hire commences.
2.2.4 Once the VE103R arrives at the Owner’s address, the Owner must check the VE103R is correct.
2.2.5 4cornerscamping.com is not liable for any mistakes on the VE103R which result in the Vehicle being impounded.
2.2.6 4cornerscamping.com is not liable for any charges and or damages resulting from the Vehicle being impounded.
2.3 The services in 2.1 and 2.2 (as well as being able to advertise on the 4cornerscamping.com platform) are provided by 4cornerscamping.com in their 15% commission of the total hire booking payment from the hirer.
2.4 The total hire booking payment, minus the 15% 4cornerscamping.com commission will be transferred to the Owner on the first day (commencement) of the hire period.
3) Liability
3.1 4cornerscamping.com is not a party to the rental agreement between the Owner and the Hirer.
3.2 4cornerscamping.com does not take or facilitate the hire damage/security deposit between Owner and the Hirer.
3.3 4cornerscamping.com is not liable for any damage/loss to a motorhome/campervan during a hire.
3.4 4cornerscamping is never liable for damage resulting from:
3.4.1 Information received by 4cornerscamping from third parties, or information available on the website of a third party, which are linked to via 4cornerscamping;
3.4.2 Information placed on the website by Owners;
3.4.3 Damages or loss to/of properties, including a motorhome;
3.4.4 Death or injuries, unless caused by unlawful action by 4cornerscamping.com;
3.4.5 Traffic or parking violations;
3.4.6 Fuel costs;
3.4.7 Violation of these Terms and Conditions by another User;
3.4.8 Termination of the Rental Agreement, deletion of an Account, a motorhome or other goods of the Platform.
4) Termination
4.1 Users of the Service have the right to, at any moment, discontinue their use of the Service and delete their Account.
4.2 4cornerscamping.com has the right to block the use of the Service, Block user activity, and/or, delete their Account in the event of any violation of the Terms and Conditions.
4.3 In the event of a necessity of receiving payment, or if a user has a positive balance at the moment of termination with 4cornerscamping.com, 4cornerscamping.com will guarantee that the relevant amounts will be transferred to you.
4.4 All amounts that are owed to 4cornerscamping.com will be claimable as soon as the Account is terminated.
Terms and Conditions – Campsite & Glamping Destination Owners
1) Registering as a Campsite and/or Glamping Destination Owner and Requirements of a Campsite and/or Glamping Destination Owner
When registering as a Campsite and/or Glamping Destination Owner, these terms and conditions apply:
1.1. The Owner owns 100% of the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) they wish to list bookings for on 4cornerscamping.com, or they are authorised to act as if they were the Owner, by the Owner of the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s). In the event that a legal entity (legal entity refers to a company) owns the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s), you are authorised by this legal entity to perform all actual and legal acts relating to the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s).
1.2 An Owner is required to register campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) they intend to list bookings for. The campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) need to meet, and continue to meet, the following conditions. By listing a campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) for bookings, the Owner guarantees that the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s):
  1.2.1 Meets all basic safety criteria and environmental regulation;
  1.2.2 Has a live insurance policy that covers the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) for bookings;
  1.2.3 Contains all the amenities described on the listing, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon with the person(s) making the booking.
1.3 In the event the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) does not meet the requirements above (anymore), the Owner is obliged to inform 4cornerscamping.com as soon as possible so that they can arrange the booking of a different campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s).
1.4 4cornerscamping.com may refuse the registration of campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s), for any reason.
1.5 The Advertiser is fully liable for all damage and costs resulting from the fact that their campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) falls short of complying with the requirements in 1.2. This means, among other things (but not exclusively) that if (premature) termination of the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) booking(s) due any reasons in 1.2, the Owner must reimburse the person(s) who booked for any lost booking days and any additional costs that this entails.
1.6 It is the responsibility of the Owner of the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) to find out how to declare the payments received from bookings through 4cornerscamping.com and pay the relevant taxes (for example VAT).
1.7 A negative statement about 4cornerscamping.com or its employees must first be reported to 4cornerscamping.com management. These may not be made publicly, without 4cornerscamping.com having at least 10 days to respond to the statement, otherwise 4cornerscamping.com is directly entitled to a compensation of £500 and £50 per day that the negative statement continues.

1.9 In the event that (a) person(s) confirms a booking in error due to the listing not displaying correct information, 4cornerscamping.com reserves the right to still apply our commission fee to the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) Owner.
2) Services Provided by 4cornerscamping.com to Campsite and/or Glamping Destination Owner
In addition to providing a platform for campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) Owners to advertise bookings at their campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s), 4cornerscamping also provides the following services (with the specified terms and conditions).
2.1 Sourcing Identity Documents if Required
4cornercamping.com will source identity documents if they are required for the Owner’s campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) insurance (or the Owner’s booking terms and conditions). It is important for the Owner to understand that the Owner is responsible for the checking of the documents against their insurance requirements. 4cornerscamping.com will endeavour to source the correct documents from (a) person(s) booking, but does not guarantee this or provide final checking of documents against the Owner’s insurance policy.Â
The Owner is required to inform 4cornercamping.com of the booking insurance documentation requirements if they are different from below:
- Photocard with name and address.
- 2 proofs of address from separate sources, where the address on the proof matches the address on Photocard. These proofs have to come from the below list, and have to be clearly dated within 90 days of the commencement of the booking period (except Council Tax statement which be dated within 12months of the commencement of the hire period). The proofs should clearly show the same name and address as on the Photocard.

2.2 Holding of a Security Deposit if Required
- 4cornercamping.com will bank authorise a security deposit for the campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) bookings, if the Owner specifically requests security deposits when they register their campsite(s) and/or glamping destination(s) on 4cornercamping.com
- These security deposit details must be agreed in writing with 4cornercamping.com
- The security deposit (or part of) will be captured from the bank authorisation of the person(s) booking by 4cornercamping.com if the campsite(s) / glamping pod(s) Owner informs 4cornercamping.com by email detailing provisional cost breakdowns within 24 hours after midnight at the end of the day the booking ends.
- The Owner must provide a receipt of the repair costs caused by the person(s) booking. If required, the Owner must refund the person(s) booking any difference between the security deposit captured and the receipted repair costs.Â

2.3 Commission
- The services of being able to advertise on the 4cornerscamping.com platform the services identified in 2.1 & 2.2 are provided by 4cornerscamping.com in their 15% commission of the total booking payment.
- The total hire booking payment, minus the 15% 4cornerscamping.com commission will be transferred to the Owner on the first day (commencement) of the booking period.
3) LiabilityÂ
3.1 4cornerscamping.com is not a party to any rental agreement between the Owner and the person(s) booking.Â
3.2 4cornerscamping.com is not liable for any damage/loss to a campsite(s) / glamping pod(s) during a booking.
3.3 4cornerscamping is never liable for damage resulting from:Â
   3.3.1 Information received by 4cornerscamping from third parties, or information available on the website of a third party, which are linked to via 4cornerscamping;Â
   3.3.2 Information placed on the website by Owners;Â
   3.3.3 Damages or loss to/of properties;Â
   3.3.4 Death or injuries, unless caused by unlawful action by 4cornerscamping.com;Â
   3.3.5 Violation of these Terms and Conditions by another User.
4) Termination
4.1 Users of the Service have the right to, at any moment, discontinue their use of the Service and delete their Account.Â
4.2 4cornerscamping.com has the right to block the use of the Service, Block user activity, and/or, delete their Account in the event of any violation of the Terms and Conditions.Â
4.3 In the event of a necessity of receiving payment, or if a user has a positive balance at the moment of termination with 4cornerscamping.com, 4cornerscamping.com will guarantee that the relevant amounts will be transferred to you.Â
4.4 All amounts that are owed to 4cornerscamping.com will be claimable as soon as the Account is terminated.Â
